Supervision and team consultation

Team consultation

Team consultation contributes to the permanent formation of a DBT team, in which patterns are visualized and team members are helped to help each other implement adherent DBT. Team consultation is a valuable source of support and guidance for treatment teams working with DBT. It provides a platform where team members can come together with a DBT expert to investigate their actions in complex cases, learn from each other’s experiences and improve the effectiveness of treatment.

Various aspects of the treatment are discussed during a DBT team consultation. This may include the implementation of DBT skills, dealing with specific challenges in the therapeutic relationship, adherent implementation of treatment strategies and promoting cooperation. This helps the team improve the quality of treatment and optimize client care. It strengthens the expertise of the treatment team, promotes collaboration and contributes to the effective application of DBT to clients with complex emotional regulation problems.

Accreditation

Nurses who are members of the V&VN can obtain accreditation for ( team ) consultation.

The team consultants acknowledged by Dialexis are certified DBT therapists with extensive knowledge and experience with DBT, always working in clinical practice. They are also acknowledged DBT adherence coders.

You can contact them directly and make arrangements with them.

DBT supervision

DBT supervision is a personal learning process in which a DBT supervisor offers guidance and methodically discusses the individual learning questions regarding dialectical behavioral therapy. It is a way of reflecting on your own working style, using conversations and writing reflection reports.

The primary purpose of DBT supervision is to be able to supply adherent DBT. To this end, a supervisor will assess a representative recording of a full session with a supervisor’s verbatim at the beginning of the route to determine what is and what is not adherent. Based on this, the supervisor and the supervisor jointly set the objectives and it is recommended to draw up a supervision agreement. For a detailed description of DBT’s procedures and certifications, please refer to the following page: certification.
