Reason / background
During DBT therapy and training you search for starting points from validation to change. It is the rule rather than the exception that you quickly end up in debilitating transactional patterns while working with clients with (para) suicidal behavior. These ‘ Dialectical dilemmas ’ described by Masha Linehan hinder the treatment process and pose a risk to both clients and practitioners. Your motivation to work with each other decreases, you can avoid, get exhausted and burned out. If such a dilemma is not resolved, it can pressure and disrupt an entire DBT consultation team. In order to get to the core earlier, to achieve results more effectively and quickly within DBT, the dialectical dilemmas should not be avoided, but rather searched and worked through.
In this workshop
In the morning you will increase knowledge about mindfulness and you will deepen your core awareness skills. This by getting acquainted with four ancient fields of mindfulness practice, four obstacles or sources of suffering that occur in your (DBT) life and four attitudes that can help you with this.
- In the afternoon you give and receive behavioral analyzes about your own patterns from dialectical dilemmas
- Increase your knowledge of effective behavior to keep your client and yourself on track.
- Can you obtain commitment to apply this in practice and thus work more model-abiding (adherent)
- Increase your skills in giving one or more behavioral and solution analyzes in a dialectical-behavioral way by providing feedback.
