You do not have a serious emotion regulation problem on your own, loved ones are directly burdened with emotion regulation and behavioral problems. Instability in relationships is also one of the most profound symptoms of a borderline personality disorder. There are regular feelings of powerlessness, misunderstanding, sadness, loneliness and pain. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a treatment program that looks at this problem with mildness and focuses on both clients and their environment. Involving the environment has proved to be an important pillar in scientific research in recent years and has also proved effective.
These two days masterclass focusses on DBT and the systemic context. The days provide handles and support for (DBT / system) therapists in applying the biosocial theory in the systemic context, handling apparent contradictions such as acceptance and change, dialectic and multiple bias, maintaining consultation with the client principle while involving loved ones and applying mindfulness and behavioral therapy with more people in a room. There is also attention for tackling emotion regulation problems for the environment through parent therapy, network training, coaching at school / work and system therapy.
The masterclass days are intended for DBT therapists and system therapists who work with clients and loved ones who are in DGT treatment. Our goal is to broaden the DBT perspective, not change it!
Study load
The training consists of two days from 09.30 – 17.00. The preparatory study load amounts to five hours, together 17 hours.
Entry requirements
Knowledge of DBT by participating in at least a 3-day introduction course DGT. The participant must also actively participate in a DBT consultation team. If you are indirectly involved in the DBT consultation team and / or have gained alternative knowledge in DBT, leading to the same outflow level as above, please contact us by phone.
Accreditation
Requested to the following Dutch associations: VGCt, FGzPt, NIP K&J / NVO OG, VSR, V&VN, NVRG.
Participants
Cognitive behavioral therapists, behavioral therapeutic educated with bachelor degrees, mental health psychologists, clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, social psychiatric nurses, orthopedic generalist or master psychologists who are currently active in a DBT consultation team. Multi-disciplined consultation teams can also participate.
Costs
€ 767,- euros including coffee, tea & lunch.
In DBT, we highly value working together in the consultation team. Therefore, there is now a team-discount scheme. For teams attending a master class, a 10% discount applies from 3 participants onwards.
